Reminds me of the quality science education I got my when I lived in Louisiana and went to a private school (because Louisiana’s public schools are a joke; at least the parts of my education that weren’t ‘controversial’ were actually, un-sarcastically solid).

I don’t know why I never thought to post this before, but this is an illustration I did for Playboy in 1988. It’s done with Prismacolor pencil on black paper. I have it framed, and the glass is so reflective that I couldn’t get a shot without reflections in it. Maybe I’ll take it out of the frame someday, but realizing I have an illustration from 1988 makes me too tired to think about doing anything.

Anatomical book for experimental drawing class today <3 I was thinking that if books have spines, do they have ribs and eyes too? It’s a few collaged images, which I laid under the sliced-out pages, then drew around the edges in colour pencil. Behind the ribcage is actually a big meaty human heart ~
